I've seen some Linux/Unix systems incorporated into military gear before. Because I'm not comfortable with the secrecy requirements of the equipment that isn't stuff I work on, I won't divulge information on what I've seen with my own eyes. It's even possible to be mentored by an unbeliever about spiritual things. I was spot mentored recently by a Senior Chief who is not a believer and yet held me to the standard (as best as he knew how) that I should maintain as a Christian. I've also had a great mentor on my last ship who still advises me on issues pertaining to the military. He's not a believer either.

Once again I've come to realize that I simply can't make it happen without God and some accountability. It just doesn't work that way. Yet that's what I'm desperately trying to do right now, three weeks after becoming a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy. There are two things I've learned that you can use to advance your blog as well.

According to Catholic Culture, 25% of Nigeria is protestant Christian, and 18 of those brothers and sisters are now in God's presence due to the violence on the 13th of January. 84 Christians were killed on Christmas Eve, although I don't know how many of them were Catholic.

Now, there is nothing like a specific number attached to something to turn a Christian legalistic, is there? I'm certainly not trying to do that. It is simply my hope that I can somehow help you see the type of things needed in the believer's life.
